Mercury Gear Lube SAE 80W-90 ( 1 QUART )

Mercury Marine gear lube outperforms automotive gear oil in marine applications because of its specialized additive package designed for marine gear cases. Continued use of this gear case lubricant will: Provide maximum protection against excessive wear – even in the presence of water Prevent corrosion and pitting Help extend gear life.

Features:
Water intrusion – advanced emulsifiers prevent foaming to protect gears if water enters gear housing.

Wear – tackifiers and extreme pressure additives improve oil film adhesion and protect against excessive wear.

For use in all outboard lower units and jet pumps below 75 hp except outboards with electric shift gears

Meets API GL-4

NOTE: Mercury Premium SAE 80W90 Gear Lube should not be mixed with Mercury High-Performance SAE 90 Gear Lube.

Mercury reccomends the gear lube be changed at least once per year (prior to storage) or every 100 hours of operation. See your owner’s manual for specific reccomendations.
